Two: Love Louis! That song will be in my head all day. It is a personal fave of mine as well.
Three: Music and children, could there be a better combination? (Well there is Nutella and bananas, Beer and pizza but besides those!).
Four: The learning...what an awesome moment to capture. To recognize, to remember. This just makes my heart go pitter-patter. I love seeing that look on my daughter's face. Thank you John for reminding me to look for those moments.
Honorable mention: Coltrane! Okay, coolness factor just skyrocketed!

I LOVE your response to this prompt. You've written a very sympathetic character here.

I hope you know that your friends see you just as lovely with the stained yoga pants and greasy pony tail. Its wonderful to feel glamorous for a moment. Its something else to be lovely inside and out....that's how WE see you.

I love this, I've known this.
WONDERFUL.
Don't you love it when you read or write something that resonates?

Yes, while I would probably leave out the mother to cut the word count, the reader in me now wants to read this from the mother's perspective.
I loved the back and forth, his confusion but it also lead to mine. A few other words to indicate they were adults when this happened would be an easy remedy.
And yeah, I hope you write more fiction, b/c girl, you got it!
