Oh yeah, I think this does sort of happen to me, though I tend to feel overwhelmed at needing to read the first book too to get caught up... I think I often worry about getting into another series if I'm not sure what direction it will go, so once I know if the second book is interesting, I feel more reassured getting invested.

I'm a fan of exclusive shelves too! I like having shelves that I can put things on so that they don't sit on my To-Read shelf, like DNF books ha

Yes! I love Black's writing and how she uses fantasy worlds to explore human relationships. Darkest Part of the Forest seriously hit me hard! <3 Definitely recommend her White Cat trilogy next :D

Giving the first book of a series away free is definitely a great idea! I know sometimes they just do promotions when the next book is out, but they should really always give away the first book to hook us!

Thanks for this review! I'm always looking for audiobooks that will keep my attention while I'm driving long hours :). I prefer more customized voices too, but I can live as long as the narration isn't annoying haha. Graceling by Kristin Cashore has a full cast audio!

I ended up doing the same thing without really meaning to. I looked at the upcoming TTT topics and just wasn't inspired by any of them and also was running short on room to post reviews each week, so it just made sense to stop. I'm thinking of a new way to show case books I received/added to the TBR, but it'll be sporadic at best, haha! I just so agree is what it comes down to, I'm tired of scrolling through a million TTT lists every week!

Hehe, yeah I've basically given up on deciding which Sanderson book is my favorite, I love them all in different ways ;-). Also I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO READ THE NEXT TWO BOOKS!!!!! *hyperventilates* Just do it please!
