You just made a post that's right up my alley. Synthpop is some of my favorite music, and there's a huge array of up and coming artists that are putting out some great new synthpop. I love how it's evolved over the years, while retaining some really nostalgic sounds and staying true to the genre. Some of my personal favorites:

Wow, I never once thought IWSG was negative. Like you, I've only ever seen love and support. And even if we don't participate, we always offer our own.

I've never been a huge Nirvana fan, but I do like their version more than I like Stipe's. Something about the piano just seemed a little clunky. Didn't go down right. Count us down for Nirvana.

Ha! I love your vote count. I know Disturbed is a very acquired taste, so I would have thought Nouela would have held up a better fight.

Truthfully, though, Nobody is a lot better than her version of Sound of Silence. It showcases her personality more, I think.

Great battle. I am not a fan of Disturbed by any means (huge fan of Simon and Garfunkel, though... mainly Simon), but I was pleasantly surprised when I first heard the cover. Who knew David Draiman could sing? You know, after all those years just spent growling and yelling.

You know your cover is amazing when Paul Simon himself endorses it on Facebook and calls it wonderful.

One vote for Disturbed, no question about it.

Well, we missed the battle because we're new around here, but you'd better believe we'll be back for the next round!

We missed your challenge. We missed a lot of challenges, and with April being as busy as it was, we're glad we didn't participate. That challenge would have eaten us alive and dropped us on our faces (with more damage than just a scraped palm to show for it).

We're glad to hear you're mostly okay, but as for the question of whether we enjoyed your tale of woe, I feel like to say we actually enjoyed it would be Schadenfreude.

...We did enjoy it, though.

Congrats on the weight loss! And it's true, it's more important to be healthy and happy with yourself than it is to just be skinny.

Also, losing weight is never the solution to getting a date. You want to find a man so badly? Try growing a personality.

Subscribed! I'm just a huge fan of anything that's the anti-Buzzfeed. We plan to skewer them soon in a post, but how many junk articles and quizzes can one site possibly churn out? Oh, and I'm sorry Mr. or Ms. Writer for Buzzfeed, but if your resume includes articles such as "These Gifs Of Animals Yawning Will Literally Kill You With Cuteness" or "Seven Super Awesome Facts About Toilets That Will Blow Your Skull Out of Your Face" then you are NOT a journalist.

Five wives? Laaaaame. Call me when they've got a show with six.

Also, I thought the same thing about that Sister Wives guy. Paunchy, unattractive, balding Keith Urban wannabe has five wives... and yet I have friends who can't even seem to find one. What is this guy's secret?
