Haha, I am free when you are! Well, as long as it isn't weekday lunch. I do WORK in the suburbs, but I LIVE in LP.

Um, yes - I have lived in the city since 2005, except for about 18 months away for business school :-)

Yay for Chicago :-) I myself had an excellent weekend in the city, eating delicious food, running in Lincoln Park, and then feeling no qualms at all about staying in my pajamas for most of Sunday.

That said, I understand that to a good portion of its population, Chicago is NOT a very safe and welcoming city, so I hope we are able to change that and give access to all the wonderfulness to all!

Haha, I like how you filled out this survey even though it seems like not much of it applies to you any more :-)

I don't get very excited about debut novels, either. I originally read that as book you are excited to read in 2015 that is not NEW vs not debut. But that is just as hard to answer! I think the one I am super-pumped to read is the next Flavia de Luce in a series. Have you read that series at all? I think you would enjoy it. It's this pre-teen science genius going around the countryside solving mysteries on her trusty bike Gladys. May not be as intense as Borgen and the like but SO fun.

Happy new year, Amy! I too want to read more from my shelves - but it's likely that I won't :-)

I am quite late, but I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Amy. I miss you and all of our Twitter chats. I too feel pretty old this year, and I think that a lot of what happened in the world has made me feel pretty cynical about things changing quickly enough for my tastes.

Wow, this sounds lovely. I love the idea of selkies, too :). Have you read Margo Lanagan's Brides of Rollrock Island? That is a good one, too.
