May I add one - start a weekly tradition. Maybe make a family movie night where everyone huddles and watches or pizza night, one night where you all cook together. Don't force things, try stuff and see what everyone enjoys and so you'll want to keep it.

My kids are now 20 and 23, and stuff like Friday night pizza still is carries on, we all eat together then go to watch the chosen movie together. Usually there is more talking that movie watching but that is the point.
It's shared, unforced stuff like that that makes them want to hang around.

Agreed totally, I have my fan page for my business and my profile for my personal life. A fan page also means people can like it and comment on it without you having to approve the friendship.
I had some online firends (don't know what to call them) as FB friends originally but honestly I like having FB profile for the people I really know and care what they are doing.
