Every year we go for a Remembrance Sunday lunch to Simpsons on the Strand with family and friends. Some of the party go to the Senitaph first to watch the ceremony, but because of our 3 year old, I've yet to go. My 3 year old wore her poppy with pride!
Thanks for the biscuit recipe, my 3 year old loves baking, and with all the rain, it will be the perfect rainy day activity!
I love Build-a-Bear. My daughter's uncle (he's my half-brother and only 19, went to a store and customised one for her. Keep meaning to go back.
I live for my holidays (I love travelling and I'm a travel journalist - amongst other things) and after a cold and wet week in Tuscany in September, I'm desperate to go away this winter. My husband loves snow holidays more than sun holidays, but I'm the opposite. We usually go skiing each year with his family. BUT, I need to get my dose of sunshine. Luckily we don't have to worry about going away during school holidays yet. It's so much more expensive.
Love that comment. Children are just so clever.
Just catching up on blog posts - so sorry about what's happening. You're doing a really brave thing. I think many people wouldn't have the courage and would stay together and be unhappy.
I've got to review that one, she's certainly scary (I'm thinking Here's Chucky type scary!)

Why I Love My 3 Year Old
Sounds like you're having a really tough time, although in way a it must a be a relief to get a diagnosis. Thinking of you x
I had a bad experience at boarding school. I was sent at age 10 and was bullied - I was much younger and emotionally immature than most of the others. I know there were good times, but I only remember the bad. Here's a post I wrote on my thoughts. I wouldn't send my child to boarding school, although they have changed a lot from what they were.

I do, however, think private education is generally (although not always) better than state education. You don't need to board as there are plenty of private day schools. There are no good state schools where I live, so my daughter will be going to a private day school when she hits 5.

Wow, that's an amazing story. So many people were affected throughout the world by the events of that day. I remember exactly where I was when it happened and what I was doing as the scale of the tragedy unfolded. It still makes me shudder just thinking about it.
