I bet it can be a little crazy at times, even with all the benefits. It sounds like the lessons from game dev class are not just about the subject being studied. Thanks for this little peak inside a classroom of dev students!
This is so cool! I was wondering how you did some of those things. I Like the way you broke it down. I feel inspired enough to leave my keyboard & create :)
Man, You are so lucky to marry a guy from the D&D handbook!
Fun article, Jennifer! I don't think I will ever go through another Hurricane season viewing the same way as before :) Maybe next season they will call it Storm Larping Warnings instead of Weather Alerts
Hi Guys...ya- it was a lot of fun. I had a good time playing the games tho too. Denni, you must be an awesome player because BIA:HH was NOT easy for me but I had fun and finished it :) I played Samba with the fam at a Bday party recently- gosh that made for fun pics.
RTS games may be primarily be played by guys, Coley, but I have seen first hand make grown men cry like little girls after more than an hour of trying to whoop you to no avail :p
ya I think you may be right there. I played KOTOR until my eyes bled, but I was able to put this one day for the night even being Star Wars. Still you can hardly beat the sheer inner satisfaction of tossing wookies- not cookies mind you, Wookies!
I enjoyed it too. I am not sure if it was because I can't resist anything Star Wars or if it was really good. There did seem to be a problem similar to the one in Conan in that the recovery time often did not allow me to get up before getting blasted again. Its like the timing or cycling of the attacks made it nigh impossible to receive anything but a one shot death. I did however LOVE getting the achievement for throwing wookies. Also, the name for Darth killing his own Storm Troopers achievement was pretty great too ^_^
Cool, Denni! I didn't know you were a karate instructor! As for the meals, I am guilty as charged. I don't remember the last time I ate at home except to heat up a dinner from Whole Foods. Thank goodness for organic food stores who portion out my meals for me! I seriously do not think my kitchen would be more than a large refrigerator room without them. Oh wait, it kinda still is ;p
hahahhahaha! yes- nice ^_^
