That day of infamy and catastrophy
It lives on for me
That day when the eagle cried,and thousands died
For their foolish pride
And this day when we bow our heads for the countless dead

And this night while we`re sleeping tight while the freedom`s fight

I remember the 11th of September
Though it seems that most forgot- Well I will not
`Cause the pain won`t stop
And I remember- That is why I defend her
We take for granted everyday- Never hear us say what a price they paid

Have you forgotton...
The sun will rise tomorrow but will you do the same
Will there be peace in our nation- Who will be to blame
Will you stand and defend her or find a place to run
Will you finally remember the day of 9-1-1

Being born and raised in New York, Sept 11th is very important to me.The spirit of our great nation was at an all time high the day after- and for months to come. You could not find a street in America that wasn't paved with red, white and blue- and it would bring a tear to the eye.

But just as life happens, we begin to take things for granted, and as the days passed since the greatest attack on American soil, the flags began to come down. Now it is hard to find a street that has a flag waving...,What happened to us? Why does it take an event of mass proportions to bring us together?- is that what it will take to lift the American spirit again? I am just another American who is outraged by this. I am a small business man who operates a New York style hot dog stand which I call "Taste of New York". Part of the full flavor is to remind the public that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTON".
I am a lyricist by hobby and wanted to share my thought on Sept 11th which I call "I REMEMBER".
"If you will not stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them!"
