I think that the billions of dollars going out to the banks should be helping those middle class folks that are working their butts off. Why not give a huge tax break to install a ongrid PV system? How about more tax breaks for those of us that are 2 income families and have to use childcare?

I am concerned that our state (CA) will go bankrupt, and then my wife whose job depends on state fund could be laid off. My job largely depends upon federal funding as I am involved with the environmental cleanup of a former defense facility. Since the war in Iraq, money has been scarce. Fortunately some work is still there.

We both drove cars that have over 200K miles on them. My toyota pickup has 250K miles on it. Because of this, we needed to purchase another car. I would have purchased an american car if there was one out there that could actually be innovative and get great gas mileage. Are we too busy looking at the next quarters profits and losing sight of the long term vision? Who killed the electric car?
