Welcome back Marine, I hope all is well Michael,

I agree with the criticism of weak character development. It seems to me they stretched 5 episodes into 10. I've enjoyed the series more watching them back to back in one sitting.

Where are the junior officers? Lieutenants were on the front lines as well. One lieutenant is a thief and another Lt. put Leckie in the brig,deservedly so. I would've liked to have seen more time in Chestys CP. The Band of Bros. had a balanced storyline between the Officers and the NCOs. Out of nowhere the Officer of french descent commits suicide. I understand why he did it but I would have liked a bit more background.

In regards to combat,where are the patrols? Snipers were also a big problem. Confronting and eradicating snipers would make for some good combat scenes.

Uncle Pete's scrapbook is a gold mine, and I'm with you Uncle Pete definitely put the R&R in R&R LOL.
I have a feeling Uncle Petes stay in Australia would have made a more interesting episode.

I hope you stick around Mike for I will miss Uncle Petes experiences. His experiences and your writing has been the one upside to "The Pacific" series.

His speech on the floor during the Voting process was schizophrenic.If you had not followed his position on the health care bill over the last 3 months you'd have thought he authored the health care bill and was disgusted over anybody opposing it.

He's just become the poster child for the "Two faced baby killing politician"

Thanks David for your reply. I think we stand a good chance of taking back the House , but enough to overturn a Veto is extremely unlikely ; although I hope and pray that I am wrong. I doubt we will win a majority in the Senate let alone a Veto override majority.
