Where's the money in this? It's all well and good to talk about creating, but bills need to get paid. How would this work in terms of distribution and marketing?

Yeah, the Victorian Age has been gilded by the passage of time. It had a dark, vicious underbelly, including rampant child prostitution. You remember that old Pygmalion play by GB Shaw, immortalized as My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn? When Shaw wrote that play, it was actually an allegory about the child prostitution issue of his day. Gentleman buys poor girl for five pounds, etc. If you don't believe me, do your own research on it.

Sharia law, any way you slice it, is a cruel, demeaning system of violent repression, of women and children without rights, and the obliteration of the individual as someone who has rights and meaning within the context of society. Sharia apologists can blather on all they like, but Sharia/Islam is essentially the religious version of what Communism is to political ideology. Actually, Sharia/Islam is just as political as it is religious, so my comparison doesn't precisely equate.

Great business model. You gotta hand it to him. You don't have to sell many widgets to make money back on a 9k budget. I wonder what he's going to spend on marketing? Theoretically, he could make more on 9k than a studio might make on a normal Hollywood budget.

Hmm. Perhaps Jay-Z needs to start his own charity and fund that? He could call it the Fo Shizzle Foundation. All the money could go to subsidize belts and suspenders for deserving kids with sagging pants.
