What is your point? Go on a hunger strike in front of all the 'bias' media houses. Is this all UWI has to offer? Lord! Help us but help him first. Steups.

I always suspected that you were a fool but I never thought you were so foolish. So, Dr. Teewarie, "Dr." Rambachan, Dr. Moonilal etc are not Drs as well. You are really full of (sh)it.

To be honest. Do you really believe that is the right thing to say.

This is my second post after having decided not to engage myself in this forum anymore for the constant deletion of my comments and the unbridled racist and derogatory tone of the discourse. With that said, I will like, however, a discussion on proportional representation (PR) as it pertains to T&T. As I see it, PR pertains to the allocation of overall seats to the proportion or number of votes recorded per a party. It is quite clear that the Indian population in T&T surpasses that of all other racial groupings (not ethnic groupings as many are wont to use because race and ethnicity as forms of identification by self and others are never the same). Thus, it is clear that if 1000 persons vote for an Indian-based party, and one can assume with a certain degree of certainty that an overall majority of them will be Indians, compared to 900 persons who vote for an African-based party, and one can assume, here as well, with a certain degree of certainty that an overall majority of them will be of African-descent, with the remaining 100 sprinkled between other non-raced parties, then the Indian-based party will be allocated the most seats and form the government. Here, there will be no room for the non-raced parties to ever make any serious in-roads in the political process as well there would be no chance of the party with the second most votes to form the government. This is as clear as day.

So, today, we are hearing of majority rule and majority government which are in fact proxies for proportional representation. Both of these election forms, I will argue, will further entrench racial voting and racial political outcomes.

With that said, in the case of T&T, what election form will serve us best. This is not an easy answer for me and many I am sure. Does the first past the post serve us best? I will say not but, at this time, it provides for more inclusion of the voting public who does not engage in racial voting. But, there is still hope in getting it right or a little less bad in the future. However, this hope can only be realized when we vote on issues and not on race. But this can only be accomplished when power is given to the people to determine the governance that they deserve rather than the government they do not deserve.

I have desisted from commenting in this forum because of the many instances where my comments were deleted. Nonetheless, I have been consistently reading this blog. What I have to say here is how can 4 consultations over a period of a month ever be considered adequate consultation for such an important issue as constitutional reform.

Monday February 10th (North) – UWI Sport & Physical Education Centre
Wednesday February 12th (Central) – Chaguanas Regional Corporation
Monday February 17th (Tobago) – Signal Hill Government Secondary
Wednesday February 19th (South) – Paria Suites Hotel and Conference Centre.

Moreover, at no time, was I informed of what were "consulted" as the "consultation" went on and, far less, was I informed of these "recommendations" before the decision to speedily implement a few of them that do not relate directly to good governance but more to bad electioneering. It would have been advantageous and informative for the populace at large to have been"consulted" as is being done now. As always, this is a little too late. I am sure the same level of vitriol would have mushroomed when these "recommendations" were shared with us as is occurring now.

Debate. Is this what this forum is for? It appears that you are more interested in gossip. So far, I have dumbed it down for you but no more. I am done with you, fool. I will not engage with you anymore. My last words to you is tone down that grandiose perception you have of yourself. You are not all that you think you are. Debating skills. What a laugh?

If it is wrong for an individual to kill another, it is also wrong for the state to also do so especially when there is a discrepit crimnal justice system as T&T's.
