Appox - I invite you to check out our full lineup of hammock products, we offer a number of accessories for the serious backpacker including a bug net, rain fly and gear loft. We have many customers who have hiked the entire Appalachian Trail with our hammocks as their main shelter and have had a large number of customers convert from the Hennessy Hammock you're referring to over to Trek Light.

Our hammocks are designed in such a way that they fit right in in the most casual setting (at the beach, in the park, etc.) without feeling like camping gear, yet they quickly become an essential piece of backpacking gear when combined with the necessary accessories.

If you ever have any questions or there's anything I can help you with just let me know...

If anyone reading this is involved with the project please get in touch with me. I'm the owner of Trek Light Gear and have been interested in doing a similar hammock hangout area in Boulder for years now. I'd love to offer any assistance, hammocks, etc. Let's get Boulder off the ground and relaxing!

Trek Light Gear is happy to loan hammocks to anyone displaced by the fire or in need. A hammock may seem like a recreational item but it can be used to provide a good night's sleep for you or your family, or at the very least a place to relax and find rest and peace during the displacement. I also have a limited number of hammock stands available as well and if you or any of the local shelters could use one please let me know. You can contact me directly with any requests: seth [at] treklightgear.com.

Looks like the link for Trek Light Gear is broken, but it's easy enough: http://www.TrekLightGear.com

Hammocks and Whiskey and Ignite? Amazing.

Thanks for the reminder to read more Vonnegut! Since I hadn't read anything of his when he died, I made the same decision to read as much Vonnegut as possible. i quickly read Slaughterhouse Five last year and loved it, but then got distracted and forgot all about my mission. What do you think - Cat's Cradle or God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater next?
