if this is true i really think he should face aj styles, i feel like shawn still has one good match left in him and against someone like aj all he would have to be is good. aj can cover the rest and make the match great, because he's aj. or daniel bryan, the backstory practically writes itself for that and again, bryan is good enough to cover the rest.
i haven't played a new wwe game in years, just don't like the controls and the constant glitching. yeah it looks good but that's about it, imo. they need to make a new game with the old-school engine. basically no mercy with better graphics lol. that would rule.
looking forward to it but i feel like this shouldn't have just simply been announced. i mean imagine the pop if alexa was in the ring cutting a promo and out of nowhere trish's music hit.
christopher daniels vs stephen amell is especially intriguing and i think it might actually be a great match. daniels is awesome and amell has honestly been pretty impressive from what i've seen. glad this is gonna be a ppv now and will definitely be ordering it. hope the buyrate is through the roof but even removing the ppv aspect, they've still managed to sell out a 10,000 seat arena which is insane. between this show, new japan starting to run in the states, billy corgan reinventing the nwa and making them relevant again, and the roh/new japan supershow at ****ing madison square garden next year, it's safe to say the revolution has begun. as good ol' jr would say, business is about to pick up.
so i assume the people who think kneeling is disrespectful stand up while watching at home. or is that different?
went to see it last night. a lot of the stuff was depressing but there were some funny stories too. it has tons of old footage though which was cool to see. crazy how close the fans were able to get and how serious they took it, attacking these guys in the ring and going after them in parking lots and stuff. they interviewed guys from WAY back too and even showed some footage of gorgeous george. overall it was pretty interesting and i enjoyed it.
braun: *high-pitched voice* "anyone in there?"
owens: "yeah, go away"
raw sucked again but that was pretty funny lol
imo lashley's return should have been just showing up during a lesnar promo and destroying him. then have them fight backstage with the locker room breaking it up a couple times until grr when lashley again destroys him and wins the title. instead we got that crap with lashley and zayn which sami did his best to try and get over, god bless him. and now we're likely gonna get reigns and lashley and have another long wait for a title defense. sigh.
this is really sweet. also it reminds me of a feature in wcw magazine where they asked various wrestlers what the weirdest gifts they ever got from fans were. i remember bobby heenan saying someone gave him a ham sandwich. lol.
i know it wasn't technically "in-ring" as it was on the outside but jerry lynn should be on the list, that moment and that match are iconic imo. also i witnessed a guy break his face first-hand at an aiw show recently, dude went for a suicide dive but the rope caught his leg and he went splat. wooden floor too so it was a sick thud. dude was wearing a crimson mask but finished the match and even wrestled later, took a stiff chair shot to the head in the 2nd match. madman.
