More disappointed than Bryan not being a surprise 30 a few years back and instead out comes Rey Mysterio? :p

Have you ever seen the Kobashi vs Misawa match from 2003? That may be a 5-star standard for me.

Okada vs Omega started out slow, but after about 20 minutes started to pick up steam, with a great final few minutes. Omega looked amazing in the match. Okada looked good, but I was significantly more impressed by Omega (both his selling and his offense).

Lack of Bryan wrestling this year is what may cause the retirement confusion.

I'm curious, if you liked the outcome of Goldberg-Lesnar, do you think you would have placed it at number 1? It's hypothetical, which is tough. I think it may be one of the biggest talking points of the year, regardless.

I hope they removed the "You screwed Bret" audio, as the promo and moment was nice, regardless of accuracy/accident.

This is great, Al. I agree with all of your sentiments. I'm disappointed by the match proper, but had such a nice grin as I watched it happen. Such a fun shock. And yes, SO MANY MOMENTS last night. Wrestling was kinda fun again (though I'll be of the mind that the 5v5 men's match was probably a bit too long - the first half Randy would enter the ring randomly just to be taken out easily....).

Side note: I enjoyed the Viper-Wyatt side chats they were doing. When Randy was talking to Shane's son, it jokingly felt like the kid was also in on the chats (hidden contributor). From that, I'd love for the "voices" in his head to turn into "whispers" and he starts doing it with Wyatts and a bunch of other random people.

Aaaaaaaand cue Roman-Ryback feud. I actually wouldn't mind something as simple, dumb and straightforward as that. In fact, have them try to one-up each other in how dumb and mundane their promos are.
