Panera mac & cheese! Stoned Wheat Thin crackers also worked well, I like that they're a bit sturdier than saltines.
This reminds me of when I saw Winter Soldier, and at the soldier's reveal I nodded thoughtfully, then turned to my husband and said "who is that?" His look of horror was one for the books.
That was when I realized just how distracted I had been while watching the first Captain America...
Haha, yes! My partner leaves the cabinet doors open, and I have been known to yell at him about not wanting to live in the kitchen from the Sixth Sense.
I dream about him frequently, it's quite odd. Although we're never dating, just friends.
Kumail Nanjiani is one of my absolute favorite actors right now (no one can nail the "affable jerk" character like he can), and I love that he just randomly shows up everywhere - the last time he appeared in a TV show I was watching, I'm pretty sure I exclaimed "ah, my best friend!" so warmly that I may as well have actually known him.
- That one piece of popcorn that got slightly overcooked but never tipped over to burnt
- A freshly-opened bag of spring/Easter M&Ms (because for some reason those always tasted better to me)
- The smell of the hardcover books in the children's section of the library, specifically
I totally understand being scared by Signs - I saw it in theaters and during the basement scene I kept having to fully turn around in my seat and stare at the projector to convince myself that it was JUST a MOVIE, no one is actually in ANY PERIL especially MYSELF
He would both continue his campaign, AND immediately brag about the sex.
We did #s 3, 4 and 5! My husband and I walked in to the ceremony together (it seemed silly to be "given away" by my father as a 30-year old who had already been living with my then-fiance, and my dad was totally fine with it), I gave a short thank-you speech right before dinner with only one other speech after dinner, and we had a lovely 99% secular ceremony officiated by a UU minister (we just had one reading that was a blessing by St. Francis).
Also, I was worried that we would get some sort of blowback for walking in together for the ceremony, but I didn't hear a single word, even from our most conservative relatives.
Ooh, this is right in my wheelhouse! I do a lot of step-up-from-data-entry at work, where I need some sort of music to keep from going nuts but need to pay attention to the data enough that lyrics are distracting. What works best for me is basically anything in the ambient genre: Eluvium is my favorite, but also Explosions in the Sky, MONO, The American Dollar, Helios... I'm also a fan of melodic, piano-driven movie soundtracks, Dustin O'Halloran has a few that work nicely.
If I'm desperate, though, I just search Spotify for either "yoga" or "meditation" and use whatever comes up first. (Also, if you're using Spotify, their "Deep Focus" and "Perfect Concentration" playlists are great.)
