Thanks for watching and commenting, femvamp!

Yeah, I gave some cred to the Vacation Killer in our review of the previous episode. Though this one pretty much convinced me it was Trinity, just because Dexter was so sure - and very rarely is he ever wrong. But you're right, he's not infallible, and as we saw from the end of this episode, he can be wrong... so I'm on the fence. Judging by the look on Lundy's face when Deb was shot though, it's fair to say he was shocked. He saw the shooter, remember? I think if it had been the Vacation Killer, he'd have shouted or grabbed Deb and gotten out of the way or something - because he would have recognized Jimmy and known what was coming.

As far as Rita goes, I'm of the belief that she will run screaming from the real Dexter. I don't think Rita could kill someone or even stand watching him kill for that matter, though the idea of them sharing that pastime is a funny one! "Hunny, would you like to sever the leg or shall I?" LOL =D

Haha! Yes, Roth was very passionate about that Zoey point! ;) I also bought her reason for killing them. I don't altogether agree with Roth on that one - I think that sometimes when people are pushed far enough, whether justified or not, they can be capable of anything.

And I agree that maybe we should have talked a little more about Dex's epiphany, in fact I wanted to mention the symbolism with the shattered mug too, but I thought that was pretty obvious and we ran out of time - as we often do. That's why there's the internet, there's so much to discuss!

Thanks for watching again Landfill, we shall try harder to get these done faster from now on! <span class="idc-smiley"><span style="background-position: 0pt 0pt;"><span>:)</span></span></span>

I so agree with you guys. And as far as the subject matter being too advanced for young kids - I def think they will come out liking how 'cool' the movie is, but not fully understand the lessons until later in life - and I think that the best children's stories are like that. Roth mentioned Grimm's Fairy Tales, which is a misunderstood mantra in the US because we like to water life down for our kids, make them think everything is happy and pretty and easy... *snicker*. I think that's why we see an epidemic - yes, I DO think it's that serious a problem! - of spoiled, want-it-all little brats emerging out of the last few decades. Though I also think there are greater parenting factors at fault there also, but ANYways..
That's how I felt about the book when I re-read it in my 20's. I *never* understood the deeper meaning, or in fact, that it was all an escape in Max's imagination from his real life.. when I was but a naive 8-year-old kid. Those kinds of stories linger in our minds, make us think, and later come to greater realizations about our world. Disney stories are nice, but they're so idealistic that they don't really 'reveal' anything to us per se. That's why little books like Wild Things have remained poignant and poetic to this day.

Did you know that 'Cirque du Freak', aka 'The Vampire's Assistant' is also calling itself a 'saga'? I don't really mind the term, especially when it comes to Twilight - because it is a series, but it doesn't have a running title throughout like Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, i.e. So in the world of film, you want to brand it, make it consistent, but it's only the first book that's called Twilight.

But I agree, not everything is a 'saga'... come on, that's a little melodramatic....

It's really hard to do a good werewolf. I haven't seen anything yet in cinema that measures up. Do they look more like wolves or humans? Are they bi- or quadrupeds? So many logistical problems that I think our imagination is doomed to always be disappointed when we see them on-screen, whether they use CGI or makeup/puppetry (Underworld).

*SPOILER* But technically, these are not werewolves. They call themselves that because they don't know any better, but actually they're shape-shifters. So they really do turn into wolves, not hybrids. They're not Lycans.

I reserve judgment for when I see the film. I'm not going to say anything based on what's in the trailer.

I don't know about Kyle XY or Electra, but Jessica's right - Lucy really doesn't do much. Good for Prout that she's in the cast, though.

I agree, it's been a good couple of years for games. I love Left 4 Dead, despite the fact that it was completely different than I had imagined it would be (I *thought* it was going to be scary, for one thing), though the sequel hasn't sparked my interest enough to buy it. Maybe I'll change my mind when I play it, we'll see.

But seriously, I was saving myself for BioShock 2. I was going to make sure I had nothing else major going on so that I could fully immerse myself. Though if they're taking the time to perfect it and make it run smoothly, I *suppose* I can hold out a little longer.... The anticipation is killing me!
