My letters are going in the mail today - will be contacting my group to do the same. I think we need to have a tag line that we all use in our letters, phone calls, e-mails. thoughts?
This sounds like a great idea & it is so simple. Already have a group going. So we just need to great a letter writing phase of our group going.
We just started a small group - 6 members & had our first meeting. We watched the 3/13 We Surround Them program (not all had seen it). We discussed things that are bugging us, mostly in DC. We're going to start reading "The 5000 Year Leap" to discuss at our next meeting. We're plan on focusing on our local primaries coming up & the education (brainwashing) of our children. We fell that we can have more effect on the local issues. Right now these are just general ideas with no concrete actions. Will keep you informed as we progress.
Hope this helps.
Last evening we held our first meeting for the "We Surround Them" or "The 912 Project". We watched Glenn's program from 3/13 and are going to start reading "The 5000 Year Leap". Here in PA we have local primaries coming up & we plan on focusing our attention on the candidates running on the Republican ticket. We also plan on focusing on the local education system which is indoctrinating our children, even the Catholic schools. Any constructive advise would be welcome.
I think the point of difference is you believe that the country needs God, I think that the people of the country need God. I think the way the 2nd value is phrased says that "I" believe in God and He is the center of "my" life, it doesn't say that God is center of the country. God is to guide each of us and lead us, God can not lead this country as we all have different concepts of what we believe God to be, each with personal meanings.
Again, let me say that this type of discussion/debate has not accomplished anything - it divides us.
I couldn't agree more - this is how we ended where we are.
I'm new at this - is there some magic decoder that that puts words where there are none that adds a new meaning to a post? I didn't say that I believed in God or not, I'm not here for a theological discussion, I go to church each Sunday for that and read my bible each morning for that. My point was I don't think the purpose of this disuccsion was to argue our individual views on God, a higher being or whatever term you want to use, but to find our values that we share. I think the whole purpose of the 912 project was to connect not to disconnect because we don't agree with every detail of our individual beliefs. Is it me or am I just crazy?
After reading through numerous postings here - I think some are missing the whole point. This isn't about God - whether or not you believe in God, the whole purpose is about our country and the direction it is heading. I would suggest that we keep that in mind.
2) Enforce the immigration laws already enacted. Prosecute employers, send back illegals, withhold federal funding to government bodies who do not actively support the federal laws.
3) Make English the official language for all governments within the United States. All government documents to be printed in English only (imagine how much money this would save).
1) Simplify & make the legislative process transparent:
a) Bills to be about one action, not thousands, so that each bill can be passed or fail on the merit of law being passed, not a compromise that each congressmen/senator has one pet project in each bill.
b) All bills have a renewable term/time limit. Must be renewed every two years.
c) The bills need to be written in understandable English, must be published in local newspapers prior to debate/vote. (This is required by the government for all projects being bid using government money).
d) Each bill must contain reference to the constitution which gives Congress the power to regulate the particular item being legislated.
e) Congressman and Senators must make public the sentiment of e-mails, letters and phone calls received from their constituents (this info should be posted online or published in the newspaper)
