Post 1969 left thousands of Malays and Indians without jobs since many were red-card holders. Do you know the misery it caused? There was never any attempt to help all poor. Even in those days the majority of Indians were poor, iving hand to mouth on daily wages in the Estates. The gangsterism we see now is a direct result of displacement of these estate workers into the urban areas. Well, it is too late to talk about what could have been done.

Government money comes from taxpayers. If you pay taxes you would want the taxes to be spent wisely on education and health care. Not to bail out incompetent CEOs and pay for VVIP holidays. Think before commenting
