I had a professor who gleefully read aloud the sperm squeezing scene from Moby Dick and then said loudly, "face it, guys! there was a lot of gay sex on whale ships!"

It hadn't even crossed my mind that that scene was about gay sex. I am glad someone with a PhD could tell me this.
