There are seeing-eye mini horses! (Sometimes people with dog allergies/phobia will get them instead).

Also, there is a mini horse who works as a therapy animal at my hospital and he has his own ID card AND wears TINY HORSE SNEAKERS so he doesn't slip on the flooring. (He also looks very much like Lil' Sebastian).

Yeah, I used to exercise ride a bit as a scuzzy barn rat kid and I absolutely started asking people if their horses bit after I worked with one pony who, while otherwise perfectly lovely, would bite you right on the ass when you bent over to pick her front hooves. It's just nice to have some warning on that kind of thing, you know?

The anonymous note is probably the best course, but...
I am often tempted (but have not been quite pushed to the breaking point yet; my neighbor thankfully does not seem have the same stamina as yours) to blast a deeply unsexy song in retaliation, like, I dunno, Yakety Sax, or that very sad Sarah Mclachlan song from that ASPCA commercial.

I am weirdly enthralled by every single one of these (or maybe I'm just procrastinating real hard...little of both?)

My work/school bag is a canvas and leather messenger bag from Hasso which I got during a really good Father's Day sale (I am not a dad, nor do I have one, but whatever)
-ipad mini
-stylus (nice-ish notier one that I will definitely lose soon, unlike cheapo drug store ones, which I somehow keep forever)
-10 pack of Staedler triplus fineliner and 4 uniball signo 0.38 pens (the best pens ever) in various colors
-nearly halfway used-up engineering grid notepad
-keys
-travel toothbrush
-two empty ziplock bags that used to have almonds in them
-2 hair elastics and several bobby pins
-tampons (I don't even use tampons anymore; I just feel it's my civic duty to keep a few in every bag)
-chapstick
-bandaids
-a mini carabiner(?)
-Cape Air gate check tag from a couple of months ago when I flew in the actual plane used in the opening of the show "Wings" and had to check this bag because the plane is TOO SMALL for any carry on whatsoever
-JP licks cow card (ooh maybe there's still money on there and I can get free ice cream...yesssss)
-business cards and ID from my old job (I have not worked there for two years)
-a very dubious clementine
-Microbiology review book

I just bought a condo last year and nothing went wrong and the whole process was surprisingly easy (people always seem...weirdly disappointed? to hear that, like they were looking forward to some juicy tales of real estate agony and I've really let them down). Anyway, I hope that is the case for you too!

-Key tools to have would be an electric drill, pliers, and an adjustable wrench. Also a ladder (unless you enjoy worrying that you might die while balancing on a box on an office chair while trying to change a lightbulb).

-One thing I super enjoyed doing after committing all my money to buying a small condo in an overpriced city was perusing privateislandsonline.com for islands I could have bought for less (I could own a 20 acre private island in British Columbia with a cabin and a smokehouse!).

I do platelets pretty regularly! It's great if you can do it -- where I donate, they put you in a heated chair and cover you in blankets and let you pick out a movie to watch. It's like being a doted-upon toddler (except, you know, with needles).

Although, you know that thing that happens when you're watching a movie or show in public (like, on a train or plane) and you suddenly realize that it has way more nudity than anticipated? That happened with the last movie I watched while donating, and when I looked around awkwardly to see if anyone else could see my screen, I realized that not only could the guy sitting next to me see it, he was also a priest.
But still, helping save lives while watching movies is pretty great.

I used to trim my own bangs all the time on account of being much, much too lazy to go to the salon regularly enough (despite my stylist pointedly reminding me that she would do bang trims for free, with a clear undercurrent of "please, for the love of all that is good, do not fuck up this haircut again").
I did eventually get good enough that my trims looked pretty decent like 50% of the time, but there was a LOT of this:

If it makes you feel any better, our giant snow piles in Boston are already all dirty and gross, and are mostly serving as an endless reservoir for production of more icy slush.

Yesterday I realized that I could resurrect my favorite super soft, but tragically moth damaged cashmere sweater by wearing it as long underwear and spent the entire subfreezing day feeling like I was being hugged by a WARM CLOUD.
I also got a hot water bottle recently and put it at the foot of my bed while I get ready for bed so that when I get in my feet are toasty instead of staying frigid icicles pretty much all night.
