Thank you, you have given me permission not to read 1Q84 as I have hit my 2 book Murakami quota.

We have an unofficial policy at my work that pet passings fall under our bereavement policy, which makes so much sense to me as anyone would be useless at work and needs to grieve. Of course you should take time off. I am so sorry.

This was a big 80s thing. I got a week of breastfeeding, and then my mom went back to work. When I asked her about it, she said, "Well, you just liked formula so much!"

Boyfriend and I saw Zoolander this exact way: gorged on popcorn, immediately fell asleep on top of each other. It was pretty romantic.

Sometimes when things didn't work out quite the way I wanted, I like to listen to Mr Attenborough tell me that "It's hard not to feel deflated when even your best isn't good enough."

The last time I was in Seattle, my friend and I bought a dozen top pot donuts and each had a bite of each one to decide our favorites. It was a wonderful way to eat donuts; no decisions! I am going back to visit her in a few weeks to meet her baby, and hopefully we will get out of the house long enough to repeat the experience.

I definitely grew up in a "the kids can have a sip" family. For my parents' dinner parties, I had a very special, very tiny glass goblet in which I would enjoy a thimbleful of mimosa, sipped with my pinky out like a LADY.
