Yes, there was the minor localization/translation issues that plagued the early games, but since Sonic Adventure, through minor hints, direct references, and an official word from Yuji Naka, his full canonized name is (and is treated like it's always been) Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, effectively making them "both right." I'll admit that different continuities, as well as idiot casual "fans" who don't pay enough attention cause a lot of confusion... But I'm still bugged when people talk as if they're 2 different characters.

yeah they were there, i wonder if Buttnik is being played by mike pollock.

also; "Robotnik (NOT EGGMAN!)" as the only sonic fan who seems to GET IT, I had to facepalm... they're one and the same, it's not obvious, but it's been that way since adventure... of course i digress, but it just bugs me to great depths to hear that.

Replace Wario with umm.... ANYONE, him and Dedede were greedy but barely enough to be worthy of an Evil team
Change Robotnik's art to modern not satam (they're both intimidating in their own way, but modern can throw in some creepy sanity-slippage for a Joker look),
replace Bison with Wily
tack on Big Boss, Mewtwo, Starwolf and Ridley

There, villain lineup for the Wii U smash bros game (we all know Megaman is gonna be in it, he HAS to be by the same logic Sonic had to be in brawl)
