Unless you work directly for the union, the union can't fire you.
Last year I requested my dues not be spent on supporting campaigns I did not agree with. I was tired of receiveing nice glossy ads, I knew I helped pay for, extolling the virtues of the last individual I planned to vote for. I paid dues from 1998 to 2010. Anyone know if it is too late for me to get a refund?! I'm wishing I knew of this before I quit!
Maybe this iS a BLACK HELICOPTER MOMENT, but I am more worried now than I ever have been about the condition of my country. Glenn Beck and Ron Paul were just been preimpted, (if that's spelled correctly), by a shooting on Capital Hill and the space shuttle launch! From what I just had laid out in front of me, I would like to welcome the latest, and by far the most notorious bunch to Washington since I don't know when. Chicago Gangsters! So many lawyers in this Government and not a one with the spine to stand up to them! I didn't need to see that segment anyway, the prelude was enough. THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS CORRUPT AND MORALLY BANKRUPT!!! Declare YOUR INDEPENDENCE today!!!
I am in Florida, but if I were in Georgia I would volunteer to help your campaign today! I commend you for standing up! And I wish you all the best with your endeavor to lead!
So today I have decided to make the change. Not from Democrat to Republican. but to INDEPENDENT! I beleive the single most effective way to get the attention of EVERY member of this government is for everyone to do the same! You should see the attention I get every time I threaten to pull my union membership! Trust me, it works. See ya!
Sorry, but this will be hit & run. There are lots of things we all can do to get our government back. Most of which I do not currently have time for, but will make time for soon. However, I did take time to call and e-mail my Congressmen and tell him to vote no on Cap and Trade. The next step I am going to take I have been mulling over for a while. But today I have decided to do it. I have been a Democrat since I first registered to vote when I bought my first house. (The clerk asked if I wanted to register when I went to pay my taxes, good timing on her part.) Anyway, I chose Democrat simply because my parents had always been Democrats. I became a lot more politically involved after 9-11 and have considered myself a Dino for a long time, but never changed my affiliation.
I believe it! I'm a born optimist. I actually think recessions can be good. They make people think more before they spend and appreciate what they already have.
Whether you sacrifice a lotto or a latte. Do the right thing! BUY AMERICAN! NOW!!!
If you are a big Ford or Chrysler fan, then by all means buy their respective stocks instead. All I am saying is make a stand. Put your money where your mouth is. Don"t stand idlely by as more of our heritage is auctioned off to the highest bidder.
This is about more than a name plate on a car. This is our heritage! While change can be good, I can not see how letting two of The Big Three twist in the wind benefits any of us.
