The book is 70 years old. The statute of limitations on spoilers has definitely passed here.

I would have never bought these but once TJ's threw a box into my bag as a "free gift" and it was just like giving a kid a free crack sample. They are delicious. They say to dip them in red wine which sounded vile but is actually amazing.

That was my dinner two nights ago. I don't even LIKE oreos or candy canes that much but damn it, together they are magical.

I did not know Lionel Shriver was a woman until just this minute. Huh. She sounds kind of like a jerk.

Much like how the show just doesn't even attempt to explain where her father is.

I love getting outraged as much as anyone and I honestly think this is a fucking ridiculous non-controversy.

Why ashamed? I think it's a very pretty song.

I like the Bafflement Tactic. Like, you pretend you simply don't understand why it was funny and you make them explain it. "What do you mean? What stereotype? ...Oh, is that supposed to be a joke? I guess I don't get it. Explain it again?" Then by then they're usually so uncomfortable they'll mumble something and change the subject.

Or you're Mitt Romney and you tie the family dog to the roof of your car on a road trip. That pretty much said it all to me.

Yes, I like reading Dad Magazine because I think it's cute and funny, but it doesn't mean anything to me because my dad was not that kind of dad at all. It doesn't offend me, but I just don't get it on the same level as a lot of other people.

What does KIND OF offend me is when a friend of mine always says to me "Ooh! A new dad magazine is out!" and sends me a link like I should be excited about it. Like, I get that her dad is exactly the kind of dad they are talking about, but she KNOWS my dad wasn't.

DADDY ISSUES!
