WOW...thanks so much for this link, I knew CA was the highest state tax and I figured 45% overall tax on the cash value of prize, so, about 700K left ,,,maybe? Do you know if you have to take possession of the boat and car or can you just take cash value? I have no use for a great big car ( no surprise, CA pays the most for gas!) or a boat...This was so helpful...so many people forget about WINDFALL taxes when they start dreaming of winning a prize like this. Florida having no state income tax might be why HGTV builds so many houses here.
actually the one i was remembering- it was dark and the women was alone...thanks for sharing this video...I must have missed this one...I loved it!! When Debbie said she had just been laid off from her job that day and Jamie handed her the big check for 100K...priceless. Who knows if fate is at work or this is all just random good luck...
you're a hoot!! love the wardrobe question...everybody's stress question. Remember the ambush where the winner drove up in her driveway looking slightly embarrassed that the ambush team was waiting for her? Is my memory wrong?
the DH looks beautiful in the snow!! I've enjoyed reading the "Vineyard Gazette" online news. Each town tells about the winter happenings and how all the "islanders" help each other out...makes your heart melt (sic) but still...what a wonderful place all-in-all!
thanks for sharing this video...I love the whole state of WA...it's gorgeous. I wish you could send some of your rain down to us parched souls in So Calif and we'll gladly give you 20 degrees+!
I think they know something because they're always home and seemed semi-surprised. One of the ambushes the winner was just pulling into her driveway and seemed more embarrassed that she was late rather than surprised but ...I think there's a bunch of paperwork that has to be signed beforehand.
good for you Lessie...happy is always preferable...."if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands" etc...I too doubt that I'm $1.7M richer and then minus taxes maybe...$700,000.??? but I did win $25 on a lottery Scratcher ticket yesterday and was thrilled!! it's the little things right??
love this house...love reading all the comments too! Does anyone know the site# at Schaffers Mill? sorry if this has already been asked and answered....thanks
When is the big "design reveal"? I'm sure it will be stunning...I still like the wild and bold colors that have been Miami style for a while and just seem to go with the vibrancy of the area... but I can see the cooler toned down look too...this is by far my favorite UO!
