No. It's quite strange that I can't read anyone else's posts but my post showed up since you read it earlier. I did read about the temp disruption but as you state that's tomorrow. Also, you obviously read my post so are able to read the messages posted there. I will keep trying to figure out what might be the problem. If you or any other 912RollCall members have any ideas of what I could do to try to fix it let me know here in this post. Thanks.
I'm no contitutional law expert but I do know for a fact that in Federal Bankruptcy Law secured creditors get paid first and more than unsecured creditors. Most unsecured creditors end up with nothing. The UAW should have gotten less than the secured creditors but the opposite happened in the Chrysler bankruptcy. That is breaking the federal bankruptcy law and I would think if the SCOTUS can't make it right a bankruptcy trustee could but since it's what the Obama administration wants I'm sure no one will dare uphold the old time honored tradition of obeying existing laws.
Hey 1911a any idea why I can no longer read posted messages over on the yahoo group page. Everything was fine Monday afternoon but I was away a day and this morning I could log in but couldn't read the messages. Just tried again a bit ago and it's the same thing. Messages isn't even coming up in the right hand box for me to click on anymore. Anyone else having this problem on there today?
If you took the time and effort to sign up here PLEASE go to the yahoo group and sign up there so we can have as large a group as possible. There's definitely strength in numbers.
States need to balance their budgets, live within their means and spend less than they make just like all of the responsible citizens in this country. If they get bailed out they'll never learn how to do things the right way. It's unfair to use tax money from people all over the country to bail out different states. That is equivalent to taxation without representation in my book. I also can't believe with all the problems California is having staying afloat financially because of their social programs and progressivism that our leaders in Washington think taking the whole country down that path is the way to go. It is causing the collapse of California and many other states and countries and it will cause the collapse of America. I don't understand how anyone with a brain could possibly think continuing down this path will have a different outcome for our country than it has had everywhere else it's been tried.
I'm from the Northeast also and feel exactly as you do about the South. Have family in NC and have thought about moving there many times but I don't like the heat and humidity in the summer. If I could afford a home with a nice big swimming pool I might just make the move.
I think using "Roll Call" as the title is a great way to get our attention to the important posts. How can I help to bump the lists to the front page? Reply to it and write bump and submit? I'm not a big user of message boards and therefore not real savvy.
Am I correct to be watching for post here in Vent? I spend most time reading on the News from you page but will make sure to check back over here more often if it's where I need to keep watching for more info on this. Also, thanks for the encouragement, I'll definately stay involved as I truly believe this is the most important thing I'll ever be involved in other than raising my child.
Pennsylvania here, glad to be on board. Have been a little discouraged since this started. Now I have at least some hope again that we might actually accomplish something. Will start commenting again and getting more involved. Thank you for trying to do something constructive with what Glenn gave us.
