Cedar Rapids property taxes are out of control. It would appear the City is attempting to regain some of the property taxes lost from the flood damaged homes by raising the assessment of those of us who live outside the flood damaged areas. My neighborhood assessments have sky rocketed while the selling prices of the homes has deceased. That's just the property taxes, let's not forget about the solid waste, water , storm sewer increases. In some neighoberhoods they don't even have storm sewers but the home owners are forced to pay the tax. Then there's the ever increasing additional taxes the City is going to implement. Let' s us also not forget the State and Federal Goverments also have plans to rape the American Property Owners. Enough is enough.
Perhaps another more important issue should be looked at. How will Obama Care effect medical care treatment in the future. Is this millions of dollars wasted?

Harkin is a disgrace. Iowans should be ashame of letting this man represent them. Harkin has made millions while in the Senate. He's your classic Progressive who believes the rules are meant for everyone else but them. If our Country survives that long, can't wait to vote him out of office.
In another excerpt from her speech to the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner, Shirley Sherrod gives the audience a curious "history lesson" on how the rich created black slavery in America to divide the races so they could stay in power and keep the poor down. She then explains to the NAACP audience that Republicans are against President Obama because he is black. The crowd voices their agreement.
Sherrod is no victim, Vilsack SHOULD HAVE VIEWED the entire video!
