That is not true. Most people seem to only remember shit games, but there was actually a decent number of good Sonic games in last years.
As a quick showcase, games that were released after 2000 and were good:
-Sonic Advance series
-Sonic Rush series
-Sonic Adventure 2
-Sonic Unleashed
-Sonic Colors (both Wii and DS version)
-Sonic Generations
And truth be told, most of the series outside those games(like Sonic Heroes, Sonic 4, Sonic Storybook series and Sonic Lost World) were decent. Not amazing, but still ok.
That doesn't seem like no good games to me.
