StopPoliticalCalls.org is fighting for the privacy of the American voter.
1 - Creating a Political Do Not Call Registry
2 - Testifying in the US Senate about robo calls (Sen. Feinstein’s Robocall Privacy Act)
3 - Forcing states to enforce existing robo call laws (CA, MN, NJ, etc..)
4 - Getting politicians to take a do not robo call pledge (7 have)
Here is a quote from a member recently:
"I'm a shift worker, working variable shifts. I depend on my sleep to be able to do my job safely and efficiently. I'm a locomotive engineer. Imagine the disaster were I to fall asleep, operating a freight train carrying hazardous materials in your neighborhood, due to fatigue from being awoken in my middle of the night on a continuous basis during election season. Please stop.."

Another great resource is Paper.Li that creates "twitter papers" from tweets around hash tags.
I just created this one http://www.paper.li/tag/socialenterprise
The cool thing is that you can set it up to auto post to a twitter account every day.

I'd put my most influential Twitterer as the man behind @TweetDeck --> @iaindodsworth. While not an "influencer" in terms of Tweet content, he created the most useful Twitter Tool of the year. I think about 10% of daily Tweets go through TweetDeck as of last week.

I am a patient and am married to a Pediatrician.
1) The Costs -> A) The cost to become a Doctor are out of control (loans over $200,000 are typical) B) The costs to be treated by providers are out of control.
2) Access -> MA mandated health insurance for all citizens. They forgot a little something called supply and demand. They increased the demand for healthcare (patients) but did not remember that they also needed health care providers (Doctors) to actually serve the citizens.
3) Legal reform. Insurance costs for Doctors is out of control. It is to the point that OB/GYN's are giving up and leaving states where insurance rates are too high. Here is a story - http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2004/01/26/prl10126.htm
4) My parents and poverty. What will occur at the end of my parent's lives and my life? Who will pay for nursing homes? At home care? Will my parents go bankrupt from paying for end of life healthcare? Will I go bankrupt from caring for them as they get older and older.
Regards,
Shaun
