I guess I will go against the general consensus here - I have done this a few times - too much dark deposited - and I have used Dawn dish detergent to remove a lot of the color - it will take a few washes (in one night if you like). It really strips out the colour. And a lot of the moisture so you will have to deep condition afterwards but I have used this solution at least four times (i tend not to learn from my mistakes) with great results but I also have pretty thick, coarse hair.

I was leaning heavily towards Blixen but every person I mentioned it to said, "Sounds like one of Santa's reindeer." I'm surrounded by rubes.

I love Annie Lennox! I tried that, turns out I have some pretty depressing taste in music. I can't bring myself to name her, John Wayne Gacy Jr. Will have to give that some more thought...

Yep! I had a Cocker named Scout! So Harper seemed like a natural progression.

Damn! Why are so many female literary figures so depressing?! Sylvia? Havisham? I love Flannery O'Connor and considered that but Flannery is quite a mouthful when you're trying to get someone to stop peeing on your carpet. Fast.

I actually considered Bronte, It is still on the short list. Blixen is cool. I'll have to check out Karen Blixen.

Naming chickens after food is a little redundant, no?
