Really? 90%? Was this a scientific study, or did you just pull that figure out of your hat? I'm sure you could come up with a better story than that. I think you should try harder next time.

If you read the story, the witnesses backed up the cyclist. According to the witnesses, the cyclist didn't pound on the guy's car.

Being both a driver and cyclist in the Portland Metro area. I can attest their are probably more bad drivers than cyclists in this town.
Every time a story comes out with a cyclist involved, the bike haters come out of the woodwork and immediately blame the cyclist, never taking into account what actually happened...... Why am I not surprised.
Last summer I biked across Oregon on Highway 20, from the Idaho border to the Pacific Ocean. Let me tell you, this state has more than its fair share of idiotic drivers, who think nothing of blasting by with inches to spare. I for one hope they throw the book at the driver in this incident.

I think this story is the perfect response to anyone who believes legalization of drugs is a good thing. I will preface my comment with the added opinion that we need to decriminalize marijuana. While I don't agree with legalizing marijuana, I think we certainly need to put our energies into fighting the truly dangerous substances.
I would be willing to bet this guy was under the influence of something along the lines of Meth..... But I'm sure we'll probably find out for sure later.
