We all need to carry our brooms to let congress know that they had better listen up or get swept out of office and it will be a clean sweep!!!

How about we get serious about how this country needs to be run and who we are going to elect to run it. Sit-Ins, Tea-Parties, Protests, etc are all well and good but unless we get some honest, ethical, freedom loving, people into office we are only going to get more of the same. Can we work this as a team. Who is coming up for election? DO YOU KNOW? Who is going to run against the incumbent??? Find out. Get involved and get your neighbors and friends involved. I think I heard that the approval rating of congress was about 13% at the last election yet something like 85% of the incumbents were re-elected. How stupid can we be? If we don't like what congress is doing we need to replace them with good men and women who will serve the needs of this country in a way that will keep the US GREAT! Your help is requested.... No IT IS REQUIRED.

This must not be about Obama, this must be about principles and values. Even if it is not "Glenn's" list of principles. This must not be a partisan event but rather a citizen uprising - an uprising of voices that need t be heard in great numbers. Stop oppressive taxes, wasteful government spending and career politicians acting like tyrannical rulers. NO MORE CAREER RULERS / CUT FEDERAL TAXES AND FEDERAL SPENDING !!!

I wish we could make a difference by calling, emailing, even visiting our elected officials but I believe that many of them have become so full of themselves that the only recourse we have is to remove them from office in the upcoming elections, UNLESS they adhere to the principles of freedom and liberty and not just freeze, but actually reduce federal spending. Federal spending requires taxing the people which, when it becomes the peoples greatest single expense, is nothing less than tyranny. The list of how government is complicating and restraining our freedoms is so long that it could take us decades to attack each issue. The best solution is to change the nature of congress. The president can do little without the support of congress. Congress needs to represent the will of the people.

So to that end I believe we need to become unified around the most profound shift in the way our government operates now compared to the first century of this nation.

1. NO MORE CAREER RULERS - All must leave office and go home after a short period of service.
2. CUT FEDERAL TAXES AND PROGRAMS IN HALF - Cut income taxes, cut corporate taxes, and cut programs,

If our elected representatives will not support these two principles by their actions they must be voted out of office immediately. COMPLY OR YOU WILL BE SWEPT OUT OF OFFICE!

As a symbol of this mandate we should be carrying brooms to these all of these tea parties representing a clean sweep of congress. Push brooms would be best because when held in the air a banner can be hung nicely for from the business end of the broom.

4. Corporate Fines for Illegal Employees:
I suggest we implement an employee audit of all companies, and let corporations know how many illegal aliens they have employed. 1st year it is a warning. 2nd year each illegal alien employee will cost the company $1. 3rd year $2, 4th year $5, 5th year $10, 6th year $100, 7th year $1,000, 8th year $10,000, 9th year $100,000, 10th year $1,000,000 per illegal alien employee that they have on their roles. After 10 years criminal charges that includes jail time.should be brought against those who knowingly employee illegal alien employees.
I know some of you are worried about penalizing corporations who are just trying to provide a product or service for the best price. I'm all for supporting every possible avenue for companies to make a profit, but because of the cost to society to educate, insure, and provide health care to illegal immigrants we need to take away the incentive for them to come to the US illegally.
The ten years of increasing penalties should give our lumbering giant of government time to figure out, with the creativity of great company executives, how to legally get the good immigrants citizenship, or legal temporary work permits, and keep out the dishonest, unethical illegals who just want to take advantage of our systems.

3. Teach the Constitution:
Require a solid understanding of the constitution in order to get a high school diploma.
1. Require students to read and be able to explain each line of the constitution.
2. Require students to complete a multiple choice test on the articles, sections, and amendments and pass with at least 60%.
3. Further have them learn the reasons for each article, section, and amendment based on the writings of those involved in its writing. No modern "interpretation". Learn the words of the people who wrote, and voted to include the entry in the constitution.
And of course this requirement would be implemented at the State level where it belongs.

Yes we need to limit the size and complexity of bills and what can be added. Even 200 pages would be a step in the right direction.

Ron Paul is not the only good guy out there. When he goes back to work outside of politics someone else can fill his shoes and do a great job. Unfortunately there is a large portion of the voting base who will not learn the issues and vote intelligently. While we may sacrifice a few great, good, honest, ethical, sensible representatives, we will remove many many more crooked, deluded, power hungry, roadblocks to sensibility. 'Term limits is lazy but at least it is a level playing field for all.

2. Amend Article V of the Constitution:
Allow states to dictate the scope of a Constitutional Convention to 1 issue only, eliminating the risk of a runaway Constitutional 'Convention yet allowing the states to demand a modification to the constitution when congress will not respond.
