NOT SO - 250 million pounds (sic) has been paid to Glasgow City Council ....
Circa 1999, Glasgow City Council accommodated an initial 475 asylum seekers in this city for an initial payment of £120,000,000 (sic) of British taxpayers’ money. Since then the numbers of asylum seekers in this city has swollen to over eight thousand (inumber of heads of house only without counting their dependents?) via a farther deal with the Home Office for an additional £130.000.000 (sic) two hundred an fifty million pounds in total. All British taxpayers’ money.
Asylum seekers were brought in as a short-term fix to fill the City Councils’ empty coffers. A two-tier £250,000,000 (sic) financial deal with the Home Office to house asylum seekers in Glasgow. At the second stage of the deal, GCC said they were out of pocket and demanded more cash and threatened to send the asylum seekers back to England. They got their extra cash.
The third part of a money deal will be coming up shortly - probably for around £160.000,000.
Glasgow City Council should return the asylum seekers, refuse to take another batch and demand that the £160,000,000 be given to Glasgow - to be spent on our own people - it’s taxpayers’ money - our money - and it should be spent on our people - such as providing proper heating to those who need it. And all areas of Britain who have done the money deal should return the asylum seekers to their countries of origin and use oiur money on our own people.

If one wee asylum seeker died from hypothermia (no chance of that) all hell would break loose.
*Asylum seekers in Britain heat and light their (ours) accommodation completely FREE of charge to them. The British taxpayer pays their heating and lighting bills. Asylum seekers can heat their houses 24 hours a day whilst some of the indigenous will have to choose, eat or heat.
quote: *The immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) provides support under section 95 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. Asylum seekers receive weekly cash payments worth 70% of income Support for adults and 100% for children. The level of support is intended to reflect the fact that IND supported asylum seekers do not have to meet the cost of accommodation, furnishings and utility bills. :unquote

There are 10,800 (1 year ago the number was 8,853) schoolchildren in Glasgow who have English as a second language, a seventh of the total school population. There are 102 different languages spoken at home by city youngsters. The most common after English, are Punjabi, Urdu and Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, Polish, Cantonese, Swahili, Kurdish and Thai, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
Spokespersons for Glasgow Education state ....
‘‘at the start of the school term last summer, 25 children - none of whom spoke English - turned up at a Govanhill primary. / We can have 37 children in one week arriving in schools across the city / We not only have pupils who don't have English but don't have any education, in particular girls from Afghanistan who have not been allowed access to education. / In terms of our profile and in terms of the challenges we face you cannot compare Glasgow with any other local authority. We are talking about children, many of whom have never seen a book before.’’
The fact that these foreign kids cannot speak, read or write English is detrimental to the teaching of our own kids. Whilst extra time is being spent on the foreigners, our own kids are sitting learning nothing - they are being deprived of teaching time.
Recently Glasgow City councillors proudly announced that they had managed to place circa one hundred non-speaking, non-writing, non-reading of English Eastern kids ( Roma) into Glasgow schools, mostly in the Govanhill area. No thought was given to our teachers who had the impossible task of teaching the foreigners. Nor did the councillors care about the detrimental effect this would have on our own children.
Have you ever heard a non BNP councillor, MP or MSP speak out against the number of immigrants and their offspring who are descending on us? No way - they are too scared of being labelled racist by one of the asylum seekers / refugee support groups which we fund.
When a society / community fails to stand up for their own children - that society / community is in meltdown.
To he*l with the immigrant children. Our schools are in in meltdown.
FIGHT FOR YOUR / OUR KIDS - VOTE BNP!

Same goes for Scotland:
"we need desperately to pull out of the EU if we want to save any little thing that might still be SCOTTISH in this country and as I will always say the only people who have the guts to do this is BNP. so save our country and vote for the Scottish Lion"
Cheers, awrrabest.

yep, the freebie rules apply to all asylum seekers in the UK .... google Middlesbrough Council - click Middlesbrough Homepage - type in asylum utility bills in ‘Search’ - click Middlesbrough Council : APLAWS Navigation List: January 2009 - scroll down to Asylum Seekers Gas/Electricity Provision - brings up ....
ASYLUM seekers and refugees living in Middlesbrough are being given £40 a week for their gas and electricity bills, courtesy of the taxpayer.
Middlesbrough Council were forced into revealing the extent of the funding after a request from a local BNP supporter using the Freedom of Information Act.
He asked the question:
Do asylum seekers and refugees get free top-up cards for gas and electricity which is paid for by the council? How much can they claim per week and in 2008 how much was spent on this in Middlesbrough?
The Council replied:
Middlesbrough Council is one of three providers which has a contract with the Home Office to accommodate and support asylum seekers dispersed to the town. Utility costs are part of the support provision within the contract and fully funded from contract income. In general, asylum seekers are allocated £20 per week for gas and £20 per week for electricity with a provision for additional funds if necessary. The council’s expenditure on gas and electricity for asylum seekers in the financial year so far is £69,837.34.
Mick, only one word to describe it all - OBSCENE!!!
I agree with you, this info must be made public. I’ve been posting this on my local newspaper comments forums for no short time - the fools don’t believe me - more fool them.

Asylum seekers don‘t go to the social and benefits office, they get it all delivered to their free houses. Here’s how they get their free mobile phones, picked this up from an asylum support website ....
quote: My SPECIAL DAYS OF THE WEEK – Part 3 August 5th 2009 Miana Badd
When asylum seekers and refugees first arrive in Glasgow, they are given temporary accommodation at the YMCA. The British Red Cross Refugee Unit runs an outreach surgery at the YMCA. This is part of my role.
Every Thursday from 1pm – 3pm, I go to YMCA, for the surgery drop-in. I always look forward to going there. I usually take two volunteers with me who speak different languages: Somali, Arabic, Bajuni, Swahili, Kurdish- sorani etc.
The Scottish Induction Service, which is situated in the same building on the 29th floor, refers newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees to our drop-in surgery. This allows us to help people as soon as they arrive in Glasgow.
Some asylum seekers have never gone to school and they cannot read or write. Some of them just manage to use a pen to make a line to sign forms. Some people want to sign with their fingerprints. That is why it is important that we are there to make sure they access our service.
We knock on people’s doors, introduce ourselves and explain in details about the Red Cross. We also ask them if we can help them in any way.
Some people don’t have mobile phones so we give them an appointment either at the office for assessment or offer to pick them up from reception YMCA if they don’t know yet how to take the bus on their own to the city centre. Otherwise we give people a leaflet with a map to our office and tell them to wait for our call for an appointment.
When I am back at the office, I start matching them with volunteers to start the support. :unquote
There you have it, all that money, our money, being spent on immigrants whilst our own children are living in poverty, and if it’s free mobiles, then it’s free calls, probally first call is to back home - GET HERE QUICK, EVERYTHING IS FREE.

Here’s my enquiry to my area MP:
quote: Do asylum seekers receive their supplies of gas and electricity (heating, cooking, lighting etc.) free of charge or do they pay for their use of these commodities? :unquote.
Reply from my area MP ....

Asylum seekers receive weekly cash payments worth 70% of income Support for adults and 100% for children. The level of support is intended to reflect the fact that IND supported asylum seekers do not have to meet the cost of accommodation, furnishings and utility bills. :unquote
Asylum seekers in Britain heat and light their accommodation completely FREE of charge to them. The British taxpayers pay all their fuel bills. Asylum seekers can heat their houses 24 / 7 whilst some of the indigenous will have to choose, eat or heat.
