It probably took a lot of restraint on her part to not comment back, "Gurl, you know it's true."

For slack, you send an email to ppyajunebug [at] gmail [dot] com and that's that! Then there's a link with an invite. If you want to use an alternate email for privacy reasons, mention that I think.

I just recommended Léonora Miano in the Toast Slack (and there's a google doc with other wonderful recs) but as a N.B. or whatnot, there were some issues with the English translation of her work.

That sounds amazing! Will there be ale and roast meats??

Congrats!! That's a big huge step, and in my experience as an observer, one of the best modern rituals with dignified outfits and occasionally silly Hogwartsian hats.

Is there a reason she can't open it up and look through the contents to put her mind at ease? I'd be uncomfortable carrying a package that I didn't know the contents of by having personally looked at them, but I'd be happy to otherwise.

If it's private to you and you don't want her looking at the contents, is there someone who would be willing to ship the package to you without opening it? Depending on carry on rules, weights, etc. that can be as cheap as or cheaper. ETA: Depending on where you're shipping to/from. I know someone who mails himself suitcases home when he goes to visit because it lets him book the zero bags ticket cheaply.
