Oh man opening a vintage store is a small dream of mine - I'm the same in that I find it hard to say no to ill fitting clothing just because it costs $5. Maybe someday. Congrats!

My best (and only?) funny one is:

"Dating website for dentists: OkCuspid.com"

3 years on, I still think it's pretty good.

AhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! *dies*

Edith and Nicole, together again, for one brief, sparkling interview. I miss you Edith! And your e-reader will be in my e-hands, pronto. Great insight on thehairpin, the-toast, and work and life. So many feelings, mostly nostalgic?

I highly recommend the book "Pedaling Revolution" by Jeff Mapes - he gives a great overview of how bicycles are a natural part of life in Amsterdam and Copenhagen, and talks about what works and what doesn't in cities like New York and Portland that are trying to become more bike friendly. It's a great read!

I have never read VC Andrews, but was similar in that I enjoyed books about children who handle their lives in grown up ways. Best example, with a similar plot idea (kids lock up their alcoholic mom in the basement): Mothertime by Gillian White. I read it when I was 9 or 10 and loved it!
I enjoyed your piece.

I have a thing where I hate reading for only 20 or 30 minutes at a time (mostly I read fiction). If I don't have a good 3-5 hours to just sit and read a book from cover to cover, it's so hard for me to get into it. And if I *am* into the book, I lose total awareness of anything happening around me. A meteor could hit and I wouldn't look up.

My other thing, which is related to the first one, is that if I'm into a book and need to get somewhere, like back to work from a lunch break, I will read while walking. This is not the brightest move.

I thought my day was made by the TATLER post, then I read this, and now I'm just giddy. Perfect.

Ummmm. How on earth I neglected to subscribe after the first EBC post I'll never know, but it's most certainly going to happen now. It will also probably be a birthday present for my mom's next birthday, so thanks. This is fantastic!

"Now, has everyone remembered to pack their toothbrush?

Such tact. This trip should go swimmingly.
