My impression of Portland when I first visited the downtown 10 or so years ago was it being just the right size, not too big and congested while also not too small. The fact that there was not one empty storefront also stood out.

The staff here were busy cleaning the shelves instead of stocking them this morning. Their produce section generally sucks but is better than the nothing status attained this week. A subway ride to TJs will be planned.
