I am very excited about these upcoming changes.
I like kale, but mostly after it's been cooked for a really long time, and in creamy, otherwise relatively unhealthy dishes (kale & butternut squash gratin, a creamy carrot, mushroom, and kale stoup)....so basically I am this article. "Having something creamy & cheesy & fatty? Throw some kale in, feel less like you might as well inject that melted mozzarella and gruyere directly into your arteries!"
Well, that is just a perfect response and I am going to steal it! I love my mother, and I love babies, but I don't think it's a good idea for me to have kids (and my partner doesn't want them), and my logical, thoughtfully reasoned explanations as to why I'm choosing not to seem to go in one of her ears and out the other. A brief snarky reference to cannibalism might work where everything else hasn't! (She said, doubtfully).
Anything sung by Mario Lanza on Christmas with Mario Lanza - even songs I hate when done by others, i.e. "Deck the Halls", but especially "It Came Upon The Midnight Clear" and "We Three Kings" and "O Holy Night". Mario Lanza is basically all I listen to during the month of December (and other months of the year, when I need a real pick-me-up).
Yessssss that is the best verse.
I am planning on playing The Wolf Among Us and Gone Home (if I can find my mouse, which has been missing since two moves ago). I would have started Wolf Among Us already, but my computer is currently languishing in a repair shop, waiting for a new fan :(
I've read about The Screwfly Solution before but had never read it, and wow, that was horrifying. I'm going to be chewing on that for a while.
Totally butting in to say: Oh man, The Daughter of Time, what a great book that is.
