I envy you! My girls are content without their pacifiers during the day, but without them there would be no naps, no sleeping at night and we definitely wouldn't make it through church (we barely do as it is). They still wake up during the night crying if their paci has fallen out of their cribs. Eek!

Wow! If I weren't too lazy to make homemade vegan ravioli, I would totally make this. It looks so satisfying and delicious!

I won't be sad for you, but I will tell you that you're not alone. I did get to experience my daughters' birth and it was amazing (I don't mean to rub that in, so I hope it doesn't come across that way). However, the next six weeks were the part I missed. I didn't get to have my daughters' laid on my chest. I didn't get to try to nurse for 72 hours and they never latched, so I'll never experience what it's like to breastfeed a child. Strangers changed about half of my girls diapers for those first 6 weeks. I didn't get to have those amazing first days at home, celebrating my family. Instead, I was discharged from the hospital and went home empty-handed. I felt like I needed to wear a sign around my neck when I went out in public. A sign that said, I just had twins and they are in the hospital, be gentle with me.

My husband and I have decided that not having any more biological children is what is best for us. Now I just pray that we will have the chance to adopt and our family will still grow.

Thanks for sharing your feelings about this. I am too nervous to post this kind of personal stuff on my own blog and I appreciate the chance to still be part of the discussion.

Clarissa's feet are why I chose that picture. I had other ones that showed the outfit better, but I just couldn't get over the way she had crossed her foot like that.

As for their grandma, great is an understatement. We went to her house for her birthday and she had two dresses that she had made for them the day before. The girls got a gift on their grandma's birthday!

Clarissa, especially. Today she was running into the kitchen, squealing to get my attention, then smiling so I could take a picture. Such a ham!

That's my favorite, too! It's the whole reason I wanted to do this post!

I just came across this today: http://rachaelkincaid.blogspot.com/2012/01/recipe...
You could lighten it up, rather than using the heavy cream. I think there is going to be a vegan version on my menu for next week.
