It looks like the health care is already taken out before the 26.29 /hour. My take home pay as a software engineer is not much than that. I, however, have to create my own retirement plan out of the take home pay. There is no pension plan that has already been paid for by my company. Plus a garbage man has much better job security. It can't be outsourced to another country.
