what I cannot find online is a version of a story in this weeks oldham advertiser, featuring a poor chap dragged down the road by a taxi following some fare dispute. The same company 'village cars' also has another recent incident tagged where the passenger had his ears removed by the driver and some of his associates.
What would we do without our cultural enrichers?

As you say, waste is definitely a huge issue, but it's not a new phenomenon and, I would have hoped, would have been factored into the report described in 'facts on a plate', rather than simply using gross food sales figures.
As an aside, Alan Johnson doesn't lie in bed worrying about Britains population climbing to 70 million, because he's pretty damn sure we crossed that threshold already.

Regarding the uncertainty in our population, I am starting to give a lot more credence to this 2-year-old article from the Indy. Possibly a lot less crackers than I thought.
