We does use the existing Joomla updater, but you can now update 'Club' extensions such as RokGallery via it, as well as all our other 'Free' extensions.

You can just edit the appropriate .less file. There's actually a file called variables.less that contains many color variables to easily change stuff like this.

If you correctly commented out the line and saved the resulting file, it's not possible to get this same error. I suggest you check your edit again.
