I began reading Nicole's lovely, hilarious Lazy Self-Indulgent Book Reviews years ago, and then continued to read her on The Hairpin. From there, I followed Nicole and Mallory to this totally unexpected place, The Toast. I start my mornings by bookmarking Nicole's links, and at least one or twice each week, I read one of Mallory's pieces aloud to my husband, both of us helpless with laughter. Then Nikki began to write about her experiences as an adoptee, which I know have helped me to be a better adoptive mother and will be a great benefit to my son in the future. This is an extraordinary place, and it will never be replicated. Thank you, heroes.

As I was reading this, I thought, "This will be just like Freaks and Geeks", and then you guys made that reference, because, of course, you're perfect and this site is perfect.

Hey, can Nicole and other fans of Freaks and Geeks provide links to their favorite Freaks and Geeks articles? I feel like maybe we should have a comprehensive list gathered here.

When I moved to the Bay Area from New England, I was SHOCKED by the fact that not only did most private homes lack A/C, but fucking OFFICE BUILDINGS and BANKS. September in a cramped 10th floor office in downtown SF was not such a productive month for me.

Also! Some apartment buildings I lived in didn't have HEAT. Northern California, I will tell you something about yourself. You are not always the perfect temperature. Embrace heating and cooling systems.

Mallory, you are gradually becoming Al Swearengen. Also, there better be a part two to this.

No, you're absolutely right. Ms. Celine is way too much for Emily. But a poster below suggested Mrs. Kim. That might work, in some sort of apocalyptic situation in which Mrs. Kim actually allows herself to act on her feelings? I feel like their mutual commitment to dignity and tradition would really bring them together.

Wow, I am really going down the rabbit hole at this point.

Love all of this! When Rory and Paris indulge in Bill Moyers' The Power of Myth while on spring break? When the only person who could save Paris from herself as editor of the Yale Daily News was Rory? My heart.

Since you brought it up, I think some sort of Emily slash would be terrific! But who with? Ms. Celine, the personal stylist?
