the offensive line remains a work in progress, and seems so for the last 10 years. the trenches is where we need to improve. we really have some very decent skills, especially in the receiving corps. REALLY liked the way the rangy tight end looked streaking down the sideline on the beautiful, but ill-fated fake bubble screen. (methinks bad call on Nembot) Colorado State has some real studs, on both sides, and i was impressed that we did not let them bully us like in the second half last year. showed a bit of bona fide moxy we haven't exhibited on a regular basis in some time. the season is long, and hopefully we will be able to "steal" a game....or two and get into a bowl.

dang! and i was bragging about how tough the PAC-12 was this year. certainly are at the top, but if last weekend is any indication, the quality is not so good near the bottom. the stanford, wash state, and Buff losses were not expected by me, the AZ state/T a&m was a pick 'em, and the score is not a good indication of how the game was. arizona won, but gave up huge yardage to the youngster program from San Antonio. unfortunately, the buffs don't deserve, nor will they get a mulligan this season, now there is even less room for a stumble now if they expect to play after the regular season is in the books.

plenty of blame to go around, agreed. the old saying that the quarterback gets too much credit and blame is true, and in this case a two year starter beginning his third year should be the "anchor" of decision making, stability and execution for the offense.
