They didn't start the site to be "fans"... they are journalists. Journalists are supposed to be unbiased. So they are reporting the news.
If you want homers, start your own site & make up your news.
TNA has never "spiked" a rating. Ever. They have tanked quite a few though.
They have a very core set of fans & that's good. They lost their chances at gaining traction to get better 5+ yrs ago when they were sh*tting all over the fans w/ the crap they pulled constantly.
Their booking was so helter skelter that many times new fans gave them a chance, or a guy would follow a Jeff Hardy over from WWE & then they would tune into straight garbage. And seldom was it the talents fault.. but who wanted to see Sting win the title? Very few.. especially new viewers.
I hate that I am even agreeing w/ Nash as I loathe the guy immensely. That said, he is correct about the entire take over thing they have going on. I tried to give it a chance but the more they made mention of "shareholders" and the like, the more my I couldn't just excuse it. There is reasonable disbelief in Pro-Wrestling. They all do it, but when things are so far from even being close to a fact it just becomes insulting. I wish they had found a better way to do this story... no reason to half-a$$ it. And I'm glad MVP is on my tv again. And Bully, Roode are always a treat. Didn't see Bad Influence this week... that's a downer.
I watch all 3 major companies starting w/ Raw, then ROH, sometimes SD, and lastly TNA if they have people on I want to watch. I'm not a huge fan of SD... sometimes I'm just burnt out on WWE guys after 3hrs on Monday & who knows if there was a PPV.
No one "needs" to watch any of this, they want to. There are some cross over fans, people who watch more than one brand of show.
Cannot wait to see Muta. WWE has a good chunk of his American library, wish they'd produce a Muta DVD set... then again I want a Rick Rude one as well.
Good on Angle to stop the tomfoolery that is pro-wrestling writing. Sometimes they need a smack since they probably are some of the most over worked people. They have so much going on it is easy to forget what is what. The wrestlers themselves need to step up & help protect their character from crappy stuff... sometimes.
He had to mention Austin's podcast. One day Ross will tire of the taste of Austin's sack. Guess today isn't that day.
I don't understand how you can "love it?"
Since he is a part, albeit minority, owner of TNA, isn't there some sort of conflict of interest?
TNA should never talk or even look at ratings again. Somehow they got it into their heads that it is the end all be all of determining success. It is really sad & pathetic. TNA isn't WWE, they need to manage their own affairs & worry about themselves. Popping one or two ratings is meaningless if it just goes back to the normal level, which after 8 yrs of regular TV, TNA hasn't moved the needle at all. To see the ratings posted every week & see people on these types of sites talk about it... its the same conversations over & over. Spike has been a good investor in TNA, they are about as secure as a show can be on a network, quit worrying about ratings & focus on product & advertising. All good things will come if you work hard, quit trying to take the short cut.
I shit on the A&8's being a rip off of SOA. But, Ray intrigued me & got me over it. Granted I barely watch any TNA anymore or during the entire run of A&8's.. but I would tune in here & there & would FF to the parts I wanted to see, which ALWAYS included Ray. And I couldn't tell if I was actually sexually attracted to Brooke (Hogan) or not.
