While I agree with you, I do have a problem with Metro charging by distance with only every other train going from end to end creating longer waits for those going further. I travel red line between Woodley Park and Glenmont. There have been several times that I have had to wait 10+ minutes during the evening rush hour for a train going to Glenmont. The weekends are even worse.

I can't help but feel for those trying to get to work on the weekends. Metro needs to remember Fed Govt is only about 27% of DC's workforce. What about those in the hospitality and service industry? Not all employers will/can schedule around Metro's short comings. Remember the ads of the 90's? For a less stressful commute, take Metro.
