Me too! Love her. And if "getting men" means writing male characters who just want their wife and their mistress to get along and not make them deal with the consequences of their choices, then yes, she sure does get them!
"This month is a good time to begin something new, if you can, even if it makes your legs feel soft, even if it makes your thoughts wobble and shake, even if it makes your vision feel blurry."
I don't usually comment, but I just had to come here to say that this is startling resonant today of all days in February, as I just this morning signed up to do a yoga teacher training, a thing I never thought I would have the bravery, or strength, or support to do. Thank you, thank you, Madame Clairvoyant, for being the shout of affirmation from the universe.
I recently started doing 5 Rhythms dancing, and this reminds me a little of the wackier aspects of that. I have always thought of myself as a huge klutz with a strong streak of Puritan repression and not a comfortable social dancer at all. Finding 5 Rhythms has been like falling in love. I get kind of dopey eyed about it and at a loss for words when I try to explain how great it is to other people. Making physical contact with other dancers definitely stresses me out, but last time I ended up having a lovely duo with a woman who could have been my grandmother, so I guess it depends on the situation.
