I've always assumed she might have had a spell of Bell's palsy at some point or something - the right side of her mouth and cheek pull down a tiny bit. But it's one of those things that just makes her that much more radiant, so

But we have a relatively short history, so the Trudeau family makes a pretty good portion of it sexier.

Another Martise and Silhara fan? <3 It's my favorite romance, and archtypal broody relationship.

Have you read the followup stories? They're tiny, but she's done a couple now.

I actually got (internally) mad at someone on Twitter because they read it and and were like 'why the need to force a romance into the book'

WHAT.
NO.
IT IS EVERYTHING.

I just finished this, and it was SO GOOD - but I totally didn't realize it was YA. It gets uh pretty graphic in one or two spots, but I'm not up on my YA so maybe that's the norm.

I'll just leave these here then. Just in case.

fantasy/paranormal
Master of Crows - Grace Draven
Firelight - Kristen Callihan
Uprooted - Naomi Novik
Soulless - T. Baggins (M/M)
Prince of Hearts - Margaret Foxe
Kiss of Steel - Bec McMaster

& a regency bonus: A Rogue By Any Other Name - Sarah McLean

(I like my brooding heroes to still be redeemable, so these may not be the best if you want your brooding heroes to be really, really, really broodingy)

No corpses or previous abuse of women - just brooding. In a tower or something. Maybe not a rotting haunted house. That isn't actually particularly sexy.

One tiny little small request: if they're going to be showing up in recommendation lists sans context, titles like "Link Roundup" could maybe use a date or something.

Just going forward. Not to be pushy.

At last, being able to whitelist my favorite site. The old ads were just so crash-happy... My new ones aren't quite as gentle as some of yours - my browsing history appears to be more tuned to tech toys and travel - but they're lovely, and this site is lovely, and this is all just excellent.

People have a very hard time dropping their assumptions about marriage. I can't count the number of times I recently had to explain that no, it is my mother that's the bride-to-be, not me. I'm married. But thanks for thinking I'd make a lovely bride?
