I've been a faithful user for quite a time now (and by this I mean I've been using tons of materials from the site in my English classes). And here's what I can tell you about it. The audios are a GREAT addition to the articles. I can see a huge potential of them being used in educational purposes , for, say, listening comprehension for English students at Advanced Level. The lists are extremely interesting and grab student's attention right from the title. ;)
2 Suggestions:
1. Each item on the list would be even more captivating and memorable if it had a supporting dialogue (like the one in the surgery in Victorian times here) or slides or short video segments. (I'm sure you'll win more hearts of innumerable EFL teachers by introducing such changes ;) )
2. The background music, in my humblest of opinions, should be changed to match the mood of the item being talked about. ;) When it's about Jack the Ripper, for instance, it should sound eerie. (that could lend a certain effect .... ,right?)

Thank you for one of the greatest sites in the history of the modern internet when everyone seems to be so bent on twittering. Thank you for enlightening and educating the people.

May she be happier up there than unable to taste, hear or feel anything here. Let alone using the lavatory without being helped.
