We need to look at labels and buy things made in America. We need a web site that shows which companies received bailout funds and then either spent the money overseas, bought other companies with the money or paid anything over 10 cents in bonus money to their executives. We also need to look at those firms that used money to fund their "sales conferences" at the Ritz in Dana Point or any other resort. property after receiving bailout funds. If we simply refused to do business with them maybe other companies would get the idea that taking bailout funds is not a very bright idea.____This idea is a way to get the country back to the notion of capitalism where performance is rewarded and lack of performance is also rewarded by a little thing called going out of business.____I am open to other suggestions - please feel free to make additional or other suggestions on ways to make this happen.
AIG's behavior has given me an idea. What do you suppose would happen if we all simply stopped doing business with companies that have taken money out of the public trough and then used it to pay executives for failure?____These people drove the company into the ground with bad decisions and should not be rewarded under any circumstances. They claim that their contracts with these employees require them to pay or be sued. I don't think so. What would have happened if they had received no bailout money? They wouldn't have been able to honor those contracts.____What is worse is this: Why would you enter into a contract with someone where you promised to pay them for attendance rather than performance? This is beyond absurd! Of course, it is the same stupidity that ran them into the ground to begin with.
